Student Services
HIC offers a range of supervisory and consultative services for ESL students, including academic counseling, career counseling, tutorial services, language learning assistance, and library services. The director is the designated student services coordinator and is available during normal business hours.
Academic Counseling
The staff and faculty at HIC are available to assist students in academic and career counseling. The director is primarily responsible for student counseling and academic advisement concerning the student’s individual academic and career plan.
Tutorial Services
Academic tutorial assistance is provided by qualified staff and monitored by the director. The primary focus of our tutorial service is on English language skills (i.e., communication).
College Admission Resources Services
HIC resource services include assisting students who are preparing to transfer to a university. HIC provides assistance in college selection, test preparation, admission applications, and interview preparation. The school also arranges tours of local colleges and universities and meetings with school officials.
Housing and Transportation Assistance
HIC does not provide housing, but does assist students with housing and/or transportations needs. For housing and transportation assistance and roommate and ride exchange, the director will be responsible for identifying appropriate housing facilities and transportation alternatives for students.
