We at HIC are happy to announce that in October we’ll be starting our newest class to help students prepare for the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication). The exam measures a person’s ability to use English in a workplace setting and is highly regarded by many employers.
The TOEIC is administered by ETS (Educational Testing Service) and is the workplace/professional counterpart to the TOEFL. Click here for more information about the TOEIC.

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in posting. The transition from one quarter to the next is always a bit of a hectic time for us, especially as we have *thirteen* new students this quarter. One of the best things about running a language school is constantly meeting new people as they come here to study with us.
However, one of the most bittersweet things about running a language school is seeing those students move on after they’ve completed their studies. Even though it’s sad to see them go, it’s extremely gratifying to see our students improve their English skills throughout their time with us and to see them move up in the world. At the end of last quarter, five of our students transferred from Hancock International to an American college or university. We’re sad to see them go, but we’re also extremely proud of these students and very happy that we could help them in achieving their academic goals. And of course, even though they’re no longer students here, they’ll always be welcome members of the Hancock International community. Congratulations, guys.
Hey guys, check out our pictures from our trip to the San Diego Zoo! We posted pretty much every single picture we took from that day, so there are quite a few.
Hey everyone, on May 20th we’re taking all of our students to the San Diego Zoo for our monthly student activity. We hope it’ll be an enjoyable and informative trip, as most trips to the San Diego Zoo are.
Hey everyone, tomorrow Anna Bernstein is coming to HIC to present a short version of her program, the Brain-Voice Connection. Her goal is to coach people to communicate more effectively and improve their speech. She’s also quite accomplished, having worked with executives at companies like Microsoft and Starbucks.
Presentations will be at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and are open not only to students and their friends and family, but to anyone from the general public who wants to benefit from communication coaching. Here’s our flyer for details:
Hey everyone, we’re happy to announce the prizes our students will be competing for in our quarterly Hancock Sweepstakes raffle. The drawing will be at our end-of-quarter party in June, so students have until then to get their attendance rates high enough to compete for the big grand prize! Check out the flyer below.
